Servant of everyone....

Hello guys!

Have a lot of Blessings to share, but i'm gonna do the majority of that later in the week. I'll just share one blessing today, which was a blog post I read on my brother Barney's blogspot. It challenged me quite well and while I look to applying it, I'll pass on the link so you can read for yourself.

Love looks like something....

Love looks like something......
                                                                     - Heidi Baker

Sometimes people exhibit qualities which make us very mistrustful of them.

Sometimes people exhibit qualities which remind us of people who hurt us in the past and in subsequent interactions, we unconciously erect a invisible barrier.

Sometimes people exhibit qualities which make us want to have nothing to do with them.

Sometimes people exhibit qualities which serve as a test to the very love that we profess to have.

What is love? Is it a feeling? Is it an emotion? Is it in what we do? Can our love be shown by our actions?

There was once a man who asked the question, 'What do you live for'. He directed it towards his friend who answered 'For God's will to be done in my life'. Good answer.

The same man then asked his friend 'Imagine you had an invisible pigeon attached to you, who followed you around 24-7 for 2-3 straight months. Now imagine that pigeon could speak. At the end of that time, if he was asked to give his report, what would he say you lived for? What followed was a thoughtful and solemn silence.

The truth is, we all have that pigeon following us around. He can be likened to that angel you see in the movies, watching you at every turn, noting down every good and bad thing you do and bringing it to his master. You see God knows the truth about us and no matter what we profess, our actions will always justify or betray us.

Today, I learnt a valuable lesson. I had an issue with someone and was just about to speak to them about a few things that really were bugging me, hoping they would recieve it and change. Then I remembered something my friend had told me three days before.

'I felt like God just spoke to me. He showed me that sometimes someone can do or say something which can throw you or show up something not good in them. Because of that, sometimes we decide to draw back from them. But God showed me the issue is not what it highlighted in them, but the fact that I drew back. It shows my lack of love'.

Sobering thought. Would it have been a bigger sacrifice to go in all guns blazing in order to 'speak the truth in love' or would the bigger and better sacrifice be humbling myself and praying for what I saw as chinks or absences in their armour, so God could heal and restore things?

It's easy to see. I too, am lacking...

Thoughts about the system.....

I wish I could

Write a poetical anecdote

To lengthily express

All the stuff that demand my thoughts

The world's pressure-

Actually calls in manner bold

Telling me

It's pleasures are manifold

It's hold'll grab you slow

Seeping in

All the media's feeding us

Slowly creeping in

Deep in your interior

Tells you sell your soul

To increase in material

Wealth that decays

After years of exposure

Get a great job

Make your face look better

Get your weight up

If you can push metal

Get the physique

Not to ambush breddas

Just to look fly

For the chicas a good measure

Aspire to be

Heroes defined by greed

Immorality mistook

As a sign of peace

See the world's structure

It's defined beliefs

Looks like you're eyeing the top

Whilst you're eyeing the beast

The dragon

Babylon has a mother tongue

Her actions

To swallow us in her government

And many fools follow her

With acknowledgements

For the 'beauty'

Of her intolerance to godliness

Lusts of the flesh

Excites those who run with her

'Blessed' to partake

In the curse of her indulgence

Never knew they'd deferred

From the kings golden

City laws through

Involvement with sin culture

Some lusted after her

With their eyes

But already with their minds

Did the deed of defiance

Defiling themselves

With thoughts of touching her

Cried for her wealth

Lost their life as they clutched to her

This is temporary

Yes it's all temporary

People get proud

Of their lives and possessions

But it won't help us

When we're lined in his presence

With Christ

Recieving all his smiles and displeasures

Or at the great white throne

Lined where the dead are

Where those who don't know the Lord's

Lives will be measured

And judged by their works

Where all will be scourged

Cus if sin is there

There they'll die in his vengeance

...
(To be continued)
