Back and forth...

Hey, Hello, Hi!

It's been a little while since I've written a blog. I guess a lot has happened in my little hiatus. Lets see what's been going on!

1.  Well I made the commitment. God led me to take covenant with the church. More about that in a later blog I guess.

2. I've cut down a lot poetry wise, in terms of doing show performances and going to shows (I actually missed all the dates of the Ginger Tea tour! Although I know from pics, blogs and video posts that it was off the hook- I think people still say that :D)

3. Still been writing though :)

4. I believe I've become stronger in discernment and acknowledging some of the giftings which God has put in me. I guess it's so easy to think it's humility or modesty by not acknowledging the things God has gifted us with or brushing them off with a quick 'Praise God'. However, through humble recognition, nurturing through use and thanksgiving (which I need to do more of!) these gifts can be used in greater measure for the glory of God.

5. Been listening more and flowing with brethren more and finding my place and part to play in Christ's body.

6. Started a training period in the barbershop (learning to cut hair looks much easier than it actually is!).

7. Been evangelising a bit more (speaking to and with people about Jesus and answering and asking questions).

8. Been spending more time with friends, sharing the gospel in much more relaxed ways.

9. Been learning to talk to God in prayer more.

10. Been learning to hear God more through a shepherd's voice and also through the voice of the poor.

Things I like to see happen over the next few months

1. Get out of this transition period with more clarity and greater focus.

2. Finish the barbering training and becoming the best and most technical barber I can be.

3. Seeing many more people come to God, through God using our evangelism and friendships.

4. Learning to personally disciple people in and for the Lord in greater measure.

5. Becoming more responsible and learning to be a good steward over the things and people God has placed in my care.

6. Growing in love for brethren, and friends and...enemies!

7. Making more opportunities to be a real influence for the gospel.

8. Seeing some of my family members, friends and those I work amongst come to God.

9. Seeing God move in greater power amongst us for the gospel and his name's sake.

10. Stronger friendship and brotherhood bonds being formed in the church on the local level, and especially wanting to see the new brethren around get securely grafted in, becoming greatly loved additions to the family.

Join with me and watch as God fulfills these things!

What are the things you are looking to see happen over the next few months?
